These are some posts from the later part of last week in case you missed them:
Repetition in History
Character Connection
Read "Starfall in Red and Blue Time"
Character Relationships
Poem: "After the Sauna"
Muse Fusion is open!
New verses in "A Bug on the Wing"
Character Generation

The half-price poetry sale for Path of the Paladins has sold out! All the new poems are linked in the original post. The Serial Poetry page has been updated accordingly.

The next Poetry Fishbowl will be on Tuesday, September 4 with a theme of "rights and responsibilities."

I've turned in my articles for the 2014 Wiccan Companion.  I'm currently working on an article for the Magical Almanac.

Poetry in Microfunding:
"The Lost and Found Legion" belongs to The Silk Road Allies.  It is being funded in installments by [livejournal.com profile] marina_bonomi, and describes how China and Italy came to form an alliance.  "A Bug on the Wing" belongs to the series P.I.E.  It has a couple of new verses.  Brenda explains about Judas.

Torn World writing update:
Approved as canon: "Squiggles: Excerpts from Nleimen's Journal," (fiction) "Shards of a Different Past" "The Urge to Fly" "Lullaby for a Nap at Noon" "Camping on the Lost Road" "Neighboring Attractions" "The Widow-Keeper's Lullaby" "The Girl Who Wanted Too Much" (poetry).  Back to me for edits: "Breaking the Ice," (fiction), "Patterns in the Grass" (poetry), "Half-Leg," (nonfiction). Currently in front of the canon board: "The Bones of Need" "Beached Fish" (fiction), "A Timely Gift" "Five Red Beads" (poetry), "Ghost Bat" (nonfiction).  Drafted: "Cutting Cords and Clasping Hands," "Like Ash Before the Wind," "From Dark to Bright," "The Inappropriate But Useful Disposal of Lettuce" "A Thin Red Trail" "The Museum of Mortality" (fiction), "Changes in the Wind" "The Urge to Fly," (poetry), "Publishers in the Empire" (nonfiction).  In revision at home: "Water Dance," "When the Wind's Teeth Sing," "Raining Kittens," "Finding the Holes" (fiction), "Breeding the Perfect Fighter," "The Smallest Invaders" (poetry).  Currently writing: "Catch of the Day," "Reaching for the Moons" "Winterheart" "A Cold Clear Night" (fiction).

The weather is cooling off here.  We got some rain last night, which is most welcome.  Farmers have been knocking down the dead corn for a couple of weeks; we've only seen one truck full of harvested corn.  The soybeans have bean pods on them now, and may be salvagable.  Our yard is turning green again.

There are several news posts about site features and plans.  "Tuesday ... Another Update" discusses the donor filter. "Links" is an opportunity to get your website listed on the blog. There is also a schedule for upcoming activities.

This week has focused a lot on worldbuilding.  (Some of this contains spoilers.)  "World Walkers world building" discusses the origin of the world network.  "More World Walkers world building" explores magical geology.  Magical volcanoes are so awesome.  "Yet More World Walkers world building" contrasts the world walkers vs. demons and their interactions with local residents.  "World Walkers world building: Taithmarin" details this individual world.

Now that there's enough background information to work with, I've been sketching out details of a world in the World Walkers network.  It features a bunch of anthropomorphic races with shifting lines of alliance.

No new fiction this week.
