Plantation America

Here's a thoughtful article about different ideas of wealth, freedom, and politics. I find the argument about Plantation America to be apt, and in fact, those attitudes are why I prefer to avoid certain of my relatives. But it's amazing how much damage the master's tools can do to the master's house if you stick a fork in the microwave or a few words in the right ear.

 So this guy can echolocate.  

I'm impressed.  I can do it, but not very well.  I've also encountered the tendency of humans to freak the fuck out if anyone uses nonhuman senses around them.  I so don't care.  If you can access other than ordinary senses in a way that usefully expands your awareness of the world, do it.

Oh, and buried in that eight-page article: he's asexual.  No interest in having a boyfriend or girlfriend.  Cool.
