Below is an excerpt from "Raining Kittens," a Torn World story that I'm currently drafting. It will eventually be submitted for canon board approval.

Something soft and warm landed on Rai's shoulder, startling him. Sharp points pricked through his clothes. "Mreew," the something protested as Rai carefully detached it from the nubbled silk of his vest. More small blurs drifted past Rai's hazy field of view.

"Eeee! It's raining kittens!" Alikara exclaimed.

"Skykittens," said Threlin, finishing his warning rather too late.
