Ya know, for something that repetitive, you could turn into a spiritual/meditative experience, perhaps chanting as one draws. I've done similar with other repetitive types of art process.

That I've done with repetitive tasks like baking bread or picking raspberries. It usually ends with me running to wash my hands and write down poetry.

I do turn it into a spiritual process (one of my 'jobs' in shamanism is spiritual totem artwork), but it still hurts and cramps my fingers up. :)

With all those tight spirals? Yeah, I can see the hand muscles getting tense. Ouch!
