Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy, cold, and damp. Last night it snowed a bit, then sleeted, and seems to have rained later. Now most of the ice has melted off.

I fed the birds. I've seen a flock of sparrows and a male cardinal.

I put out water for the birds.

EDIT 3/2/26 -- I transplanted snowdrops from the parking lot to the white garden.

EDIT 3/2/26 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

I set up a label with the new Sharpie Oil Paint Pen (Extra Fine) and took pictures.

I saw a squirrel in the trees.

EDIT 3/2/26 -- My red curly willow cuttings arrived, as did my order from John Scheepers Kitchen Garden Seeds. I have set up two of the willow cuttings in water, one in potting soil. I also took a cutting from the fishpond mulberry tree and one from a red dogwood, which I added to the water cups to see if the willows will help those root too.

we call them "snödroppar", so its pretty swenglish. i love spring when crocus springs up in random places on my grandparents lawn (i am 3 hours away from there now, who woulda thought). and we have vitsippor which spawn in huge clusters. especially little kids love picking them to make their parents happy. blåsippor are actually a protected species and it is illegal to pick them. sippor are the most fragile flowers on earth. you cant dry them or do much else, and the area only a few cm tall. depending on the soil, you can soemtimes see 1 rosasippa even. wow, i sure miss being able to go outside. being a junkie you sort of miss everything life is about. you turn into a robot. i figured these sorta things before, but through experience (more like stupidity) i now know its true. you know whats the most beautiful thing in the world is? its happened more than once in my life. when you decide to go clean, throwing all the drugs away, and then you wake up the next day without ANY withdrawals. you go to pick up the morning newspaper, and theres a slight slight wind, surely undetectable by any measuring instrument, it brushes your cheek for a moment, and it feels like being kissed by an angel. ANY amount of drugs, including "just 1 beer every 3 hours, not enough to make you drunk" removes this emotional input. anyway i know you wont respond since i wasnt profesional enough in my response. youre cool anyway. cya. running low on battery.
