Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and mild, a beautiful early fall day.  :D 

I haven't fed the birds yet.  I've seen a flock of house finches.

I took some pictures around the yard.  So many zinnias and sunflowers are blooming!  :D  The first of the sunchokes are too, and the goldenrods have flower buds.

EDIT 9/2/24 -- I fed the birds.  

I put out water for the birds and watered a few plants.

Lots of butterflies, bees, and parasitic wasps are out today.

EDIT 9/2/24 -- I picked up sticks from the house yard.

EDIT 9/2/24 -- We picked up big branches around the yard and put them in the firepit.

EDIT 9/2/24 -- I picked up sticks from the ritual meadow.

Cicadas are singing.

EDIT 9/2/24 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

I watered the patio plants, picnic table, and septic garden.

EDIT 9/2/24 -- We burned off the firepit.

I saw at least two bats swooping over the ritual meadow.  I think the firelight attracted moths, and the bats went "Buffet!" :D
