Today is partly sunny and mild, a beautiful summer day. :D
We went out and walked along the lake earlier. Very pretty.
I fed the birds. I've seen a large flock of house finches, a lady cardinal, and a mourning dove.
I put out water for the birds and watered a few plants.
EDIT 8/8/24 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.
Fireflies are coming out. Cicadas are singing.
EDIT 8/8/24 -- I watered the patio plants, picnic table, septic garden, telephone pole garden, and grass patch.
Crickets are singing.
As it is now dark, I am done for the night.

Date: 2024-08-10 03:36 am (UTC)What we have now are annual cicadas, like dog-day cicadas, that hatch in mid-to-late summer and are active through early fall. As the days cool, they die off.
