Birdfeeding

Today is partly sunny, hot, and howling wind. It's 84°F outside, in the middle of April. :/ It's supposed to rain this evening.
I haven't fed the birds yet, but I've seen a pair of house finches.
I got a shipment of plants from Spring Hill that I haven't opened yet. From the size and shape of the box, that should be tree or shrub seedlings, and today really is not ideal for planting such things.
EDIT 4/16/24 -- We walked around the prairie garden talking about what places needed to be mowed.
I picked up cut branches from the edge of the ritual meadow so that can be mowed.
The sky has completely clouded over.
I've seen a fox squirrel on the hopper feeder.
EDIT 4/16/24 -- I started trimming brush around the north edge of the ritual meadow. After hauling several loads to the brushpile, you can't see that I've done a damn thing. *headdesk*
EDIT 4/16/24 -- I trimmed more brush. Now you can see that I've been clearing things, but I ran out of energy before I could drag the big pile of cut branches to the brushpile.
EDIT 4/16/24 -- I dragged the cut branches to the brushpile.
