1. Have you ever been the president of anything?
Not that I can think of off the top of my head. I've done a lot of organizing, though, so I could be forgetting something.
2. What do you think is the most important leadership trait?
Competence. Being able to do what you promise to do, and actually getting it right.
3. What time period did you find the most interesting to learn about in history class?
Well, my favorite is actually prehistory but that's not from class. Hmm, nor was learning about Turtle Island history or ... okay, let's take a different angle, my favorite history class was Western Civilization from Mr. Butler. That covered a good chunk of recorded European history from before Rome to ... maybe the Renaissance or thenabouts? It taught me a lot of useful things like "everything is geopolitics."
4. What's something you think about doing, but you haven't gotten back into in several years?
I haven't done as much with crafts as I used to, not as much time for that.
5. If you could add one more random holiday to February, what would it be?
Last day of February: The End of Winter. Of course, it's followed by the Moon of Mud Everywhere...

Date: 2024-02-17 08:36 pm (UTC)As a child, I was interested in "ancient history" - Egypt, Greece, Rome, Mycenea, the Etruscans, even ancient India and ancient Central America. And eventually I discovered the ancient Celts, the Vikings, and later the Rus. The worlds of these people were so unlike our world, and I'm a confirmed xenophile, attracted to anything that's unusual to me.
