Today is cloudy and cool.
I fed the birds. I've seen a large flock of sparrows, a male and a female cardinal, and a robin.
I put out water for the birds.

Well ...
Date: 2024-02-11 05:28 am (UTC)Did they provide more support for the Campus Acquaintance Rape Education program like we'd been asking? Did they eliminate or at least better supervise the (also largest in the nation) Greek system? They did not.
They cut down bushes all around campus so women would have a better view of lurking rapists about to pounce on them.
This had no effect on the numbers, because the problem wasn't caused by mysterious strangers lurking in shadows. It was caused by young men, mostly frat rats and often at parties, not taking no for an answer.
Sure women watch the shadows. But they're rarely watching the right ones.
