Good news includes all the things which make us happy or otherwise feel good. It can be personal or public. We never know when something wonderful will happen, and when it does, most people want to share it with someone. It's disappointing when nobody is there to appreciate it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our joys and pat each other on the back.

What good news have you had recently? Are you anticipating any more? Have you found a cute picture or a video that makes you smile? Is there anything your online friends could do to make your life a little happier?

Good News!

I started a job I have wanted since I was 12 or younger -- working at the local library!
Everyone is really nice to everyone, and I *know* it's not just me, because one of my coworkers says SHE thought that they were going to stop being nice to her, but they haven't in 10 months!
It's a union job, too!

My situation is stabler than I expected it would be this time last month. I'll be able to stay. I'm on SSI (I didn't know that age is a qualifier) and SAFE (streamlined SNAP). Still no power – can't get LIHEAP because I've been disconnected too long. (New Rule)

I was able to rehome the cats – and yes, I miss them.

I'm glad you've got a roof over your head, even if there isn't any power attached to it yet.

Good news is I made it to Albuquerque drama free (but not airsickness free). Looking forward to my conference. I haven't been to one since 2017 or 18...I can't quite remember

I've gotten some feedback that a lot of the things I am having trouble with are things that most people would find difficult and stressful. So, I am apparently doing quite well, as opposed to being unable to manage things.

I still have to figure out what to do about stuff, but overall, a positive thing.

Well, its an interesting shift in framework, from "You need to try harder" to "Wow, that sounds /really/ overwhelming."

Tough times teach you useful things - but that still doesn't mean we have to enjoy the tough times.

At the same time, just because someone has been through tough times, doesn't mean they are an expert at helping other people. There's a few other skills and resources needed. Like with teaching - knowledge is a start, but you need other things too.
