Today is my birthday. So far I've gotten a copy of The Cabinet of Linguistic Curiosities. It has a handful of words I recognize but many that are new, which is uncommon and excellent. Also I Was a Teenage Creature arrived recently, which is being great fun to read through. That's actually a gift from a previous occasion -- three years back! -- but the timing of arrival is fortuitous. :D
