Yeah, me too. Then I remembered that I was raised by hippies and all my friends are nerds. Normal people just don't read that much. I mean, the only things I've read only 3 books about are things I don't care much about, or where -- like scripting comics -- I felt that everything I needed to know was covered well in what I already read.

I suspect that part of that time was intended for activities meant to help people remember what they read. For books that are either stories or pure information, I can chug them very fast. If it's something like a craft book, though, I might read it cover-to-cover quickly but it would take me longer to work through exercises. And I definitely do not recommend chugging something like Prometheus Rising.
