ysabetwordsmithThis is today's freebie. It was inspired by a prompt from rix_scaedu. It also fills the "Eureka" square in my 9-1-22 card for the Land of Oz Bingo fest.
"Choosing Humans"
Cats are picky when it
comes to choosing humans.
They approach slowly,
circling and sniffing,
before making a selection
like a toddler who wants
to lick every chocolate in the box
before deciding which to eat.
It's not an adoption:
it is an interview.
Cats are fussy about
hiring their staff, and
everyone knows it.
Then finally -- Eureka! --
they find the right one
and seal the deal with a purr.
