Today is sunny and mild.

I fed the birds.  I've seen a small flock of house finches, a mourning dove, a sparrow, and a fox squirrel.

EDIT 7/12/22 -- I watered the barrel garden and the container garden.

Two bags of something arrived from Spring Hill Nursery, no idea what's up with that yet.

EDIT 7/12/22 -- I opened the bags to find 3 yellow bellflowers, 2 Virginia bluebells, 3 native milkweeds, and a blue mouse ear hosta.  They were decently packed, and post-dormant with sprouts rather than leaves.  But the first two types are spring ephemerals, which should be planted in spring or fall while dormant, because they can't take the dry heat of summer.  They're unlikely to survive.  The milkweeds and hostas are at least summer plants, but I wouldn't give them great odds either.  >_<  I finished planting the bellflowers and the bluebells in the forest garden and watered them.

EDIT 7/12/22 -- I planted the blue mouse ear hosta in the purple and white garden, then watered it.  I watered the septic garden, telephone pole garden, and savanna tree seedlings.  A dark red sunflower is blooming in the septic garden, along with a pink and an orange zinnia.  I think I only got 2 sunflowers out of all the packets I planted.  :/  There's a zinnia about to bloom in the telephone pole garden, though.

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.

Would it work to keep them as houseplants and transplant in fall? I don't know if it would work - not much of a gardening expert - but if they are already fated to die, perhaps it would be worth trying?
