Birdfeeding
Jul. 8th, 2022 04:12 pmToday is partly sunny, steamy, and hot. It rained again last night, sprinkle to shower for several hours.
I fed the birds. The hopper feeder has been active recently. I've seen a flock of house finches, several sparrows, a lady cardinal, and a mourning dove.
EDIT 7/8/22 -- Walking around the yard, I saw that my pollinator garden is swarming with visitors. I saw at least 3 different types of wasp, a honeybee, a tiny native bee, striped beetles, a butterfly, and a small green spider. :D Seal of approval!
EDIT 7/8/22 -- I planted a privet along the west edge of the savanna.
Blackberry lilies are starting to bloom.
There is much grumbling of thunder, so I don't know if I'll be able to get back out tonight.
EDIT 7/8/22 -- I planted another privet along the west edge of the savanna. There are just 2 left now.
