Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and warm with a light breeze.

I fed the birds.  I've seen at least 5 blue jays, a few sparrows, a few mourning doves, a brown-headed cowbird, a male cardinal, and a male rose-breasted grosbeak.  :D 

EDIT 5/7/22 -- I trimmed places to plant two of the oak seedlings in the savanna.

EDIT 5/7/22 -- I planted the bur oak just past the last mulberry tree at the north edge of the savanna.  I put a jug over it.  I still need to label it and mulch around it.

EDIT 5/7/22 -- I got the bur oak labeled, spread compost around it, and topped that with leaf litter.  Oaks like leaf litter.

EDIT 5/7/22 -- I planted the swamp white oak just past the bur oak in the savanna.

EDIT 5/7/22 -- I labeled, spread compost, and mulched around the swamp white oak.

EDIT 5/7/22 -- I filled the water bowl for the birds, and I trimmed brush around the walnut tree in the yard by the house.
