SOAR Program
When the University of Wyoming began offering a program called “SOAR” in 2018, Nursing jumped on the bandwagon, using Aspire as a springboard. SOAR is a competency-based program made up of experiences outside students’ normal classes. The competency areas are: • Civic and Community Engagement • Cultural Competence • Career Readiness • Research Experience • Critical Thinking/Problem Solving • Communication Skills • Leadership and Development. Students log in their activities, building a potentially impressive portfolio throughout their college career.
Nursing was drawn to SOAR, since the UW program gave a platform and framework for developing students' potential. In addition to the leadership seminars and the interprofessional activities Nursing had already been providing, students can also engage in a broader variety of opportunities for developing their capabilities. SOAR students create an online portfolio documenting their experiences and competencies.

Collegiate Recovery Program-UWyo
CRP provides holistic, tailored support to Wyoming students who are in recovery from alcohol or other drug problems.

Cycling Club
The UW Cycling team provides opportunities for students at the University of Wyoming to participate in Mountain Biking at both recreational and racing levels. We race in The Rocky Mountain Collegiate Conference, with events including Downhill, Cross Country, Short Track, and Dual Slalom Mountain Bike Races. Come ride with us!

Dead Poets Society at the University of Wyoming
Dead Poets Society provides a place on campus for poets and lovers of poetry to get together and talk about the art form. We would like to provide a space for workshopping original works as well as sharing non original works of poetry. We meet weekly in Hoyt hall and there are no prerequisites to membership.

Knitting Club
The Knitting Club is your friendly group for all things knitting, crocheting, and fiber crafting!
We meet regularly on Wednesdays at 7pm in the Union Breezeway. Please bring your own project to work on, though our members are always ready to teach beginners!

Quiet knitting needles include bamboo. Self-striping yarn makes it easier to knit because you don't have to change yarns.

Student Nurses Association
