Promoting Heritage Months

Food Network Magazine (September 2021) has a promotion on page 18 about Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month (starting Sept. 15). It consists of a cocktail recipe, a meat recipe, a list of cookbooks, a list of cooking classes, and a search tag (supported by Yelp and Momento Latino) for locating Latinx-owned restaurants.
This is exactly the kind of thing that Terramagne often does for such celebrations. What sets it aside from the idle chitchat common here is that it creates concrete support for the group by encouraging people to buy things from them -- their books, their classes, food at their restaurants. These discoveries may then lead to more lasting patronage if people like what they explore. And if you're seeing that all year long for different groups, it encourages you to be more multicultural in general, which makes a nicer society for everyone.
So if you write about a heritage month, include resources that don't just enlighten or entertain the audience but also help support group members.
I'll just pitch in here with a few more book recs:
Children's Books
New Books from 2020
New Books from 2021
Nonfiction Books
Novels
Poetry Books
QUILTBAG Books
Science Fiction
... and while I'm not Latinx myself, if you want to find that branch of my work, see Los Conquistados and The Godship Wanderers on my Serial Poetry page.
