The Syrian Civil War has a timeline. Many Syrians have become refugees, most from Aleppo or Damascus. Locally, Britain has rejected even child refugees.

Refugees are people fleeing war or persecution in their homeland. They have specific legal rights, but these are often violated.
The Loaf is slang for Nutraloaf, a type of food that is used as punishment in some prisons. It is maltreatment at best, torture at worst. Some prisons abuse inmates with other types of food monotony, or simply starve them.
A key point in banning The Loaf and other forms of food torture in T-America was that such things failed to follow the government's own standards for a healthy diet. Regardless of nutrient content, The Loaf did not provide recognizable servings of different foods in recommended proportions, a varied diet, fresh whole foods, and so on. As an ultra-processed food, it also posed an unacceptable health risk. If the government did not follow its own guidelines with people in its care, then clearly it didn't consider them important and nobody should have to follow them. If the dietary standards were to be valid, then they must be followed, and people could not be forcibly prevented from following them. Another reason for the ban was that, despite claims, The Loaf was not actually nutritious, and if inmates contract malnutrition in prison without an identifiable metabolic cause, the prison is automatically at fault for failing to feed them properly.
Unpalatable food is child abuse; monotonous diet and wrong foods are neglect. These can cause eating disorders and other problems.
The Aleppo pepper (Arabic: فلفل حلبي / ALA-LC: fulful Ḥalabī) is a hot, fruity pepper common in Syria.
The Carolina Reaper is the hottest pepper in the world, with a fruity start and a fiery finish.
Surke (it has many names) is a type of Syrian cheese customarily formed into balls coated in Aleppo pepper or za'atar. It is used in many recipes such as Surke Salad.
Za'atar is a spice blend popular in Syria.
Olive oil has some fraught complications in Syria. To avoid the trouble, shop for certified origins olive oil.
