I don't hesitate to pitch my voice and make sure everyone knows what they're trying to do. Since lots of people have been picked on, that's not exactly something most bullies want broadcast. Especially when I frame with things like, "You are a stranger. You have no right to talk about my body. Go away." Or there's always my favorite rant about how white people ruined Turtle Island's entire foodshed. They don't like that one either.
If someone starts that shit in a restaurant and the staff won't make them quit, I won't go back. Aside from myself, there are too many people in my monkeysphere now with dietary needs. I'm not giving my money to people who make survival harder.
