Its price doesn't reduce because of the research premium -- that thing took me days to write -- but anything spent on that poem will count toward getting any sale poems at quarter-price. Does that make sense?

I think it makes sense. Its price is locked at $397, but if I put $100 or more towards that poem, anything else I buy would automatically be at the quarter price rate?

Correct. So you could open that for microfunding with $100, and then buy other stuff at quarter-price.
