We are aiming for similar. We have an area that we are restoring/reclaiming for veg and soft fruits and a bit of existing lawn that is the domesticated area, but then the rest is hay/wildflower meadows and woodland we mostly leave to themselves (although at the moment we have a guest horse who is munching down our summer pasture growth).
(We just moved in a few months ago, so everything is a work in progress.)
