Love your barrel.
Wallflower is a common species in my home county where it got in from Normandy in the early medieval period.

That's cool.
I didn't even know what it was until somebody else pointed it out. Just something I'd planted because it was pretty, some time, and it volunteered.

Comfrey has
many uses
:
* It
attracts bees
. Lots and lots of bees.
* Comfrey is what permaculture calls a "
miner
" plant, its roots drilling deep into the subsoil to
bring up nutrients
.
* It can be
used as fertilizer
in many ways, from slash-and-drop to compost to putting the leaves in a bucket of water until they dissolve.
* Comfrey has
medicinal applications
.
I use comfrey as a miniature
tree guild
because it performs several roles.
