Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and warm.

I fed the birds.  I've seen a large flock of doves, a flock of house finches, goldfinches, and a squirrel at the hopper feeder.  In the yard I saw an indigo bunting.  :D  Like the finches, they prefer small seeds.  Sometimes they hang around here in the summer.  They have very complex songs. 

EDIT 5/24/21 -- My partner Doug reports the first fireflies of the season.  \o/

Fireflies are like magic to me. We don't get them here, so I've only seen them when I visit Michigan family, but I think they are one of the best things in nature.
