Around America in 50 Pies
Jan. 20th, 2021 12:48 pmMy partner Doug tipped me to this fascinating site that describes a pie for every state. Sadly, no recipes, but there are lots of pictures.
The interesting thing is that the pies are made by an immigrant as a way of getting to know America. That's a great idea. You see it a lot more in Terramagne than here, this sort of methodical discovering and bonding process, but it's not the first example I've seen. Basically, you pick something you love, and then find a way to iterate that across your new home. You might read all the books set in your new home state, or learn to identify its wildflowers, or try to see all its birds, or visit all its museums, etc.
