Okay ...
Date: 2021-01-14 05:36 am (UTC)Alex -- Breakfast Coffee Cookies
Alex likes brain food, sweet things, and portable munchies.
Ash -- Bannock with wild berries.
The closest I could find to a traditional Turtle Island bannock was the Corn-Flour Bannock. It was made with corn flour or meal, fat, and whatever fruit we could find. But it wasn't leavened with baking soda (although that works). If you had the patience to let the batter sit in the sun a while, the yeast on the berry skins would bubble it up a bit. But mostly we just slapped it on a hot rock and ate it flat.
Bailey -- Coconut Cashew Honey Energy Bites
Delicious, portable fuel.
Kay -- Superfood Chocolate Bark
So much better than ration chocolate.
Morgan -- Kulolo
Traditional Hawaiian dessert, sort of a caramel-coconut fudge.
Pat -- Zucchini Bread
African-style zucchini bread tends to be medium to dark, loaded with nuts and dried fruit.
Quinn -- Natural Rainbow Cake
Because rainbows should be delicious, not taste like food coloring.
Tim the Tentacle Monster -- Ruam Mit
A Thai dessert that looks like a bowl of multicolored tentacles. Yes, really.
Chris -- Texas Sheet Cake
Everything is bigger in Texas.
Schrodinger -- Fish Cake
Not everyone's idea of dessert has to be sweet!
