The pandemic is our world's equivalent to The Big One. It's an enormous and mostly catastrophic disruption of everything we were familiar with. We have to take elaborate precautions to keep from becoming infected with a potentially fatal disease, and to keep from spreading this contagion to other people. Oh, we need a Doctor Infanta in our world!
I also empathize with the information on "meltdown". I used to be very good at handling multiple inputs - I used to crave them, having the radio on while I read a book and watched TV. But since my stroke in 2018, I have felt that it would be a very bad idea for me to try to drive a car until the thought of all of the inputs necessary for safe driving overwhelmed me. I hope my brain will sort this out fairly soon; there are places I'm going to need to go and I can probably only get there in a car. It's one of the most frustrating parts of my medical mess.
