 ... to help you make and carry a delicious packed lunch instead of buying junk food.  Some of these are also ideal for roadmunchies if you travel.  We always carry a bunch of food with us, although I confess our iceblocks are usually made from repurposed water or soda bottles.

Yep, we would do that too.

Dad used to do that all the time in summer. Freeze a bottle of water over night, then he'd have something cold to drink all day while outside. He'd bring a few with him if the day was long.

I need to look at that link, but your comment about repurposing bottles caught us.

In high school, I'd freeze a bike bottle overnight and use it to chill my lunchbox, then leave it out to thaw after lunch. That way I could have icewater as I was biking home.
