It's snowing outside, just a little, but it's sticking to the leaves and a little to the ground, so that counts. :D It's been years since I saw it this early. This actually used to be normal for here.
It used to start snowing in late October or early November, and we'd see the ground again in March or April, not counting the usual mid-January thaw when patches of mud would appear for a couple of weeks.
When it was already damn cold going into October, I chose a costume accordingly. One year when I was little, my mother made me a tiger suit from fake fur. It was quite warm. :D
A bit of snow here now in Michigan too tonight. It's hard to remember all the years we did have cold and snow but I guess in the midwest, you have to roll with what you get. I'm curious to see if the predictions for this area will come true for the winter weather. I'm hearing reports it will be quite snowy.

We got our first snow this week, and it was really nice.
