Birdfeeding

Today I spotted a small flock of goldfinches around the feeders in the forest garden.  While I was watching them, a much larger movement caught my eye -- and I saw a hawk flying around the yard, high up in the trees.  :D

It rained last night and still is, so I probably won't get outside for yardwork today.  But the old potting soil is mostly smoothed out over the ground now, so that's convenient.

Always interesting to spot a hawk! We have redtails in our area.

We have redtail hawks, American kestrels, turkey vultures -- and once we startled a bald eagle out of our yard.
