Anyway, just leave a comment letting me know which poem(s) in any of those threads you're interested in, and how much you would like to pledge to the targets (if you're joining to sponsor some other poems as well, you don't need to include that in the pledge amount, just the contribution when the time comes), and I'll formally open the pool with an initial target poem list.
I am interested in joining the pool, though still figuring out which poems I would like, since I will probably buy some you haven't listed. I know I am interested in The Dr. Infanta Big One poem and the Marionettes, though the Marionettes may be above my price range.

Remember that once you cross $100, everything drops to quarter-price. "The Compass That Guides Us" would be $89.50, so you could get that and something from the pool. Both together would be $192.50 which is just under your budget, so the most you could do there is throw the extra into the pool.
OK, so here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to start by cutting the share going to the pool poems down to an appropriate size for what I have now. I'm sharing half the load on the two you mentioned, and then directing mama_kestrel's contribution to those two, as well. That makes your buy-in there $28.50. (I checked the prices; actual cost for the two you wanted is $194/2 = $97) You're welcome to send more, if you want to buy other stuff in the pool target list.
For things not in the target list, please post what you are interested in. If it's something someone in the pool likes enough to chip in on, help will be on the way. If not, you can send directly to ysabetwordsmith, indicating that you have the 1/4-price level-up from the pool, and the right thing will happen there.

I would like to chip in another $30 towards The Compass That Guides Us ($89.50), which is the first of the Marionettes poems.
For any other interesed parties, I am also interested in the Shiv thread, particularly The Discovery of a New Dish ($32 quarter price) and When Circumstances are at Their Worst ($$29 quarter price)
Given how much I (don't) have to pitch in this time, I'll let you apply it wherever it will fill in a hole to complete a poem. My favorite threads are Iron Horses, Aquariana, Marionettes, The Big One and Shiv, but really I'm happy to read any and all of them.
I can put in $20.00. I'd planned on considerably more, but unfortunately our furnace and hot water heater had other ideas. :( At least we could pay for those; not everyone is so fortunate, and I know it.
Thanks. Fortunately the only thing the holidays have ever been a big deal about for us is seeing family. I'm grateful they could get us a new furnace the day after the old one gave notice of imminent failure.
