Go, Maldives, Go!

This bitty little island nation is seriously starting to entrench themselves in the moral high ground.  First awareness of climate change, now Middle East peace talks.

It apparently is only taking place in The Maldives,
and not on the initiative of the Maldive government.
And the talks are limited to resolution of Afghanistan's conflict.

I still give them credit for that. Particularly after some other countries have stepped up their anti-Muslim, anti-brown, anti-anyone-but-us behavior. Imagine how inconvenient it would be if the Maldives weren't there and somebody else had to host the talk ... say, if they were underwater...

I'm not entirely certain their stance on global warming is a moral stand so much as EXCUSE US, BUT WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE IF THE OCEAN RISES.
