Spanning the world from the Maldives to the Great Basin, I am announcing a pool with the goal of buying out both the Aquariana and Iron Horses threads. The half-price total for those threads is $655, so the quarter-price amount will be $327.50 -- not quite halfway to Doug's new computer, if we can pull it off.
The pool will sponsor at least "A Boat to Go Chasing the Whales", "Reveal to the Universe", and "What Keeps Us Happy". If you would like to contribute to any of those, or any of the immediately following poems in either thread, you are welcome to join the pool. Because this will unlock the quarter-price discount for you, you are welcome to sponsor poems outside the target threads, or suggest other poems to add to the pool if you cannot sponsor the entire poem, and the quarter-price rate will apply.
Interested? Comment below, or PM me, with a pledge, and I will send instructions as to how to contribute. (This is not "send money to our host's PayPal account", because they have assigned responsibility for that task to the pool's originator -- in this case, me.)

I have marked those three for the pool, so other folks know not to claim them. If other things get added to the "definitely funded" list, let me know and I'll mark them accordingly.
technoshaman's contribution will allow the pool to add "To Be Able to Rise from the Earth" to its sponsorship list. If enough contributions come in to cover it, the second Iron Horses poem will be next. But I'm not able to commit to that yet.
I want in on Whales and Happy; I would also like "No One Has to Wait" from the miscellaneous poems... that one is marked as $39, so $19.50 for that, plus *does math* halvsies on Whales and Happy is.. call it $65, that's a good number. :D DM with the PII, please.
I need to send you the PayPal address to direct contributions to. I tried PMing you, but you aren't accepting messages. Got an email address I should use? Or willing to let me PM you? Please advise.
The initial round of contributions have been received. Thanks to all who participated.
Enough money has been received that all of the currently named targets will eventually be sponsored. With thanks to stardreamer, who sponsored "Flowing Into the Future" on their own behalf, a bit more will enable the final poems in the two threads to also be sponsored. Any takers?
Anybody want in? I *want* rather a lot, the most important to me is "No One Has to Wait" because timely relevance, but I'm after Shiv, and the Alicia/Aquariana bit, and Iron Horses. Not necessarily in that order. I will match enough to get us over the benjamin mark, at least.
Talk to ng_moonmoth who has already started a pool aimed at covering the Aquariana and Iron Horses threads. Up to you how to approach the other poems.
If you have things you're definitely going to sponsor, let me know so I can mark those. I've already marked the first three that ng_moonmoth plans to cover in a pool.
