I know since this is Kraken not SPOON, the specialist is Alicia, but wouldn't that lovely time/reality hopping lady from Tightrope be a help for this? If she could be reached and was amenable. She's also gone through the issue of suddenly going from Time A to Time G without hitting the times in between. Alicia might even have MORE trouble helping with the time-gap, since she lived each slow minute of the travel, so her perspective is fundamentally bound to what did happen, not the gaps, if that makes sense. She'd fall into the same traps as people of this era, but still expect herself to be able to make it make sense. Like trying to untangle spaghetti by tracing each noodle, rather than the more effective version of "it's tasty, here's a fork".
