That was my reaction when I came eye-to-eye with unexpected baby robins yesterday. I knew the nest was there, it has been for a while, but I didn't notice the birds reusing it until then.
It's lush to the point of rainforest levels: emergent, canopy, understory, brush, ground, root, and vine. \o/ I plant that way to maximize niches in a modest-size 2-acre lot. Bird survey says: working! :D
