Totally agree.
It's been my observations that the reason they don't do things like that is because the anti-women do not view women as people. They seem to view women some kind of lower life-form that keeps expecting to be treated like a sentient, sapient being for some reason . . . like "why are these silly women creatures asking to be treated like people?"
Because, asshat, women are people and they shouldn't have to ask in the first place.
Or that they think of women as property. And property doesn't get to make its own decisions. It's the same kind of mentality that generates phrasies like "stealing our women."
First of all, only things can be stolen. Women are not things. Secondly, she is not your anything. She is not anyone's anything. She is hers. Being your child, spouse, sibling, friend, etc does not change that she belongs to herself and no one else. Because women are not things. People are not things.
There is also a fine dusting of 'let's continue to abuse the poor people because that makes me feel better' to top off this already unappetizing cake.
Don't know how to get most of that through extremely thick skulls. Maybe start speaking and acting toward them in the exactly same way they treat women to demonstrate just how damned annoying (to put it mildly) this crud is.
