Well, yes. Stan actually has an excellent set of brakes, and he rather likes supervillains, even if they are pesky. Lawrence can attest to this. But Lawrence has a higher tolerance for superheroes than Shiv does.
I suspect that Stuart, like Graham, is capable of recognizing (from a different angle) that there's no getting rid of people's baser impulses and thus channeling them into less-destructive routes is advisable. Stuart might be willing and able to work with Shiv, a little, if Shiv could manage to be not a complete prick about it.
