Good news includes all the things which make us happy or otherwise feel good. It can be personal or public. We never know when something wonderful will happen, and when it does, most people want to share it with someone. It's disappointing when nobody is there to appreciate it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our joys and pat each other on the back.

Date: 2016-02-18 03:34 pm (UTC)It's not a Big Important Test, but it was a practice run for a Big Important Test. Detailed results should be arriving soon, and that'll help me prep for the next one.
Yay!
Date: 2016-02-18 06:49 pm (UTC)FLOOF
Date: 2016-02-18 06:49 pm (UTC)His name is Hawthorne, & he's at that age when he's bigger than he was this morning so he falls over a lot. He is EVERYWHERE in this house, he wants to be Near the People which is tricky when the people are in different places, so he tries to solve this by zooming around a lot. Then he flops over & sleeps on his back with paws EVERYWHERE.

Date: 2016-02-18 10:05 pm (UTC)What a handsome fellow he is!
My kitty still zooms around a lot trying to be Near the People, and she's coming up on 2.

Hmmm
Date: 2016-02-18 11:28 pm (UTC)It was a surprise diagnosis last year since I was only 29. I didn't know that macular degeneration happened to young people. It does, sometimes. Not as often as with older people but it does. Another good reason to get your eyes checked even if you don't wear glasses ladies, gentlemen and others.
I also count it as a good thing that I'm feeling more able to talk about it. It's not easy but I think it's good.

(Translation: I GET TO RIDE AGAIN (http://powersports.honda.com/2016/ctx700n.aspx).)
Eight months and twenty days. Two weeks and eight hours of that in hospital, twelve of it on disability leave. Cost me a lot, some of which I can't talk about here, but the marriage is stronger (and so is my intolerance for assholes, and my empathy for homeless folk). It ain't perfik, but it will Do.
Congratulations!
