Not all high schools have gym. Not all kids who go to gym will shower, especially because of the communal showers which are a terrible idea. And forcibly stripping the clothes off a kid is sexual abuse, so tends not to happen. Sometimes parents will send a waiver, but often kids just manage to dodge it. I've known more than one who simply wouldn't take their clothes off in front of other people, for various reasons.
A funny bit -- when I went to put it up, I realized that I'd never thought about a title for it! And that blocked me for about 10 minutes, because thinking up titles for things is much harder (for me) than making them in the first place.
If there's anything you think I should tweak, go ahead and comment there, and I'll see about fixing it.
My high school had gym class, and I think showers were an option, but most girls certainly didn't shower. Maybe some did and I didn't notice. It's possible that the boys showered, but I'm sure it wasn't a requirement, and I doubt they had time--there certainly wasn't room for enough showers for 15 boys to shower at once.
