It's not her need to act as she was trained to do that puzzles me so much as Phil choosing something particularly similar to her own background as a good place for her to unleash that. It _could_ be healing to use the skills taught to you by people who drugged women into compliance to save women who are being drugged into compliance. But there's a sort of fundamental mish-mash that bothers me.
But Phil would know her better than I do, of course.
