Looking at the short, rounded shapes, those really do not look like comfortable seats for long periods of sitting, and nobody could lie on them safely without getting pinched on one side or rolling off. The shape is a deterrent for lingerers and homeless people.
But that is pretty awesome art, and I like that the shapes were inspired by book pages. Not that I'd bend a book like that.
