I'm sure that contributes to it. Lucy-hera treats men the way men usually treat women: as obstacles (all the guys she shoots without hesitation), as pets (the poor drug enforcer she drags around and uses as a meat shield), as stepladders (the gaggle of scientists), as set props (everyone else). That tends to make men extremely uncomfortable.
Some folks are complaining about the racism. I don't think it's racism. I think it's indifference to people in general. She's been fucked over, suddenly has power out the wazoo, and uses it liberally and ruthlessly to attain her goals. If a hero did this, it would be business as usual. If a hera does it, "suddenly everybody loses their minds."
