Yes, that's a good idea.
>> If you're going to be facing a change in health insurance next December, look at the options as many times as you can when feeling well, rested, and without feeling like the sky is falling. Otherwise, Dec 01 leads to panic, which leads to late nights, which leads to stress and so forth, until you pick the one which seems cheapest... and then find out the specialist you need for that chronic but manageable condition isn't even ON the list of people you can see under the new plan. <<
Which is kind of how Farce wound up as a supervillain with asthma slipping out of control.

Just being around Stan is helping, because Stan not only sets a good baseline but also has a certain calming influence. Well, when they're not secretly yearning after each other and/or butting heads.

Yeah, Lawrence has learned crappy decision-making steps at home.

It's not going to take decades. Lawrence already has people helping him. That will help get him into somewhat better space. Whether it'll be enough for him to feel safe venturing into therapy is hard to tell yet. I think he'd benefit from it ... cognitive-behavioral therapy would be a great fit in terms of fixing the distorted thought patterns, and he could probably appreciate the logic in it. One of the more emotional styles for addressing the massive damage that the abuse has done to his attachment, feelings, self-worth, etc.? He'd probably balk at that.
