Think about the everyday people you know. Think about how much difficulty you, an educated and trope-fluent person, are having in extrapolating how this gift would work on you. How equipped do you think the average joe is for this decision?
Now think about how many people buy penis-enhancers or facelifts because they think it will fix their life. Or therapy. Or a hooker. Or another bottle of booze. Or whatever. How much thought do you believe goes into that?
This is what Tierra is up against. She honestly does try to explain it. They just usually don't listen or understand.
