Sooth. Hulk needs comfort contact. However, he is also capable of learning to recognize the ways in which JARVIS expresses care and comfort, which are quite different things than humans can typically do.
Conversely, I suspect that JARVIS is learning a lot about emotions from him, which is experience he didn't have much of previously. Tony expresses emotion effusively but rarely talks about it.
