I have a stuffed puppy I once bought as a Valentine's day gift, but my then girlfriend broke up with me a little under two weeks before. Instead of being a gift of joy, it wound up being the thing I curled up with night in sorrow, after first detaching the little stuffed heart that said "Be mine."
