Automated homes can do some amazing stuff. It's been an interest of mine for ages.
I used to have a computer program that played a selection of startup and shutdown sound files. My favorite startup said, "Greetings, Master. How may I serve you?" It reminded me of a wizard's magic mirror. And it was a warm, happy voice rather than a creepy or sullen one.
