... but tries valiantly anyway.  I just saw one attempting to eat suet from the cage attached to my office window.  Fawn wings flapping like mad, and still the poor thing couldn't hold its grip.  Dude, it's spring.  The bugs are swarming, and I can't touch the ground with a trowel without having worms crawl out of it.  Just look down and you'll find food.
