Thank you for this list. I've been adding some of my favorite F & SF author blogs to my browser bookmarks, and live-journal friends list for a while now (My method was each time I read a library book I particularly liked I searched for the author's blog online so that was slow going).
I'm finding it interesting how many of my favorite authors are linking to each other -- the people I love reading are friends of other people I love reading. Birds of a feather I guess. I also find it helpful, interesting, comforting, and inspiring to read what they do each day in their writing lives.
I've subscribed to a fair number of author feeds myself. It's a close-knit community. I know a lot of folks and they mostly know each other too. Check out jpsorrow and sleigh -- they both host a fair bit of content from other writers. This is one place where social media come in very handy, linking coworkers and friends together.
